Puppy Play Dates
$25

Puppy play dates are great fun and fantastic for socialization.  Puppies attending the play date get to play with other puppies and meet and be handled by a variety of people.  Owners attend with their puppies and Trainer Dan supervises.  It costs $25 per dog to reserve the room for a play date.  Puppies (and adult dogs) of all ages are welcome to attend play dates but not necessarily together.  Adolescent dogs play better with other adolescent dogs, young puppies with other young puppies, big dogs with big dogs, little dogs with little dogs, shy dogs with shy dogs, etc.

If you are interested in socialization with obedience training for your puppy, click below for our Puppy Kindergarten course.  Just remember you can do both and it never hurts to give your pup a chance to burn off energy!  Many people like to supplement their regular classes with additional play dates for socialization and exercise.
Puppy Kindergarten

Requirements for participation:

  • Proof of veterinary exam and DHPP vaccination (or similar vaccine protecting against distemper and canine parvovirus)
  • Proof of a negative fecal test or proof that an appropriate dewormer has been given by a veterinarian
  • Your puppy must be evaluated or known by the trainer in order to participate and will be matched with other dogs of similar disposition, age, size, play style, etc.
  • Your puppy must not be afraid of other dogs or aggressive towards dogs or people
  • Registration at least one week in advance is required to participate in a play date.  This allows the trainer to evaluate and match temperaments and play styles among the participants.
Can I Play??

Currently scheduled play dates:

There are currently several possible times when Dan would love to schedule a play date.  Click "Can I Play??" to let Dan know you're interested in reserving the room for a play date.

Q. Do I have to be a Stack client to participate?
A. No but your dog must meet the above requirements for participation.

Q. Are the puppies supervised?
A. Yes, all puppy play is supervised by our trainer and the owners of the playing puppies.

Q. Do I have to stay with my puppy or can I drop him off  and leave him to play?
A. We are not currently offering doggie day care.  The puppy play sessions are for the purpose of socializing young puppies.  Owners are required to remain with their puppies.  Owners will also be encouraged to interact with all the puppies present at the session as this provides further socialization benefit.

Q. Should I bring my family?
A. Absolutely!  Puppies especially benefit from socializing with well-behaved children, men, and older folks.  Just make sure that all guests are able to handle the presence of excited young puppies playing, running and jumping.

Q. What should I bring with me to class?
A.  Treats of the highest value, a chew toy, a non-retractable leash, and a properly fitting collar or harness.
